Organizational Bylaws & Constitution

The Sechelt Garden Club was first incorporated as a non-profit society in 1967. We celebrated our 50th Anniversary in June 2017 which was visited by many people from around the Sunshine Coast and beyond. As of January 2020, we have 90 members.

Our Club has an excellent reputation in the community for welcoming and valuing gardeners with all levels of experience. We encourage promoting gardening in our community and sharing our gardening experience. Some of our projects include the Aquatic Centre Plant Wall, Totem Lodge, Sechelt Arts Centre and most recently, Cowrie Lane clean-up and planting. Results from a club survey confirmed that members value the expertise and skills shared on diverse gardening topics by guest speakers and participating in garden tours. In the Spring we schedule a mini plant sale and all of us enjoy socializing at the Strawberry Tea (every other year) and Christmas Luncheon in December.
