Sunshine Coast Family Resource Centre Garden
A big thank you to Terry McGrath, Master Gardener, who volunteered to help rehabilitate the Family Place Garden in Sechelt this summer. She worked with the staff to design a small garden in the corner of the play area that the toddlers could walk in. Using sedums, goldenrod and coral bells she created a very pretty space. The centre provided the logs, rocks and soil and mulch. The plan is for the staff and parents to keep it going. August 2026

“These beautiful ladies are some of the volunteers in our community. They take care of our flower beds downtown core and I’m sure they do a lot more. They are beautiful souls and we are so grateful to have them in our lives. They are awesome. Supporter of run with soups feeding programs and today they loaded up on the books. We are so grateful and humble, especially at this time of the year when so many people are struggling. But these books are sold all year round so we can keep feeding our seniors. They do need a hand and we must as a business do the best that we can and strive to be community leaders. It’s so important so I just want to put a big shout out to these beautiful women who take time in their day to make our places look better.” Roksy Gratto
