Behind the scenes or right up front, leading or being a part of an event or project, here are some Volunteer ideas:
- Spread the word, invite your friends and neighbours
- Greet attendees at general meetings/events
- Bring some bake goodies for our general meetings
- Be a kitchen helper for general meetings
- Help with monthly ‘sharing table’
- Assist at registration table
- Sell ‘in house’ raffle tickets
- Help clean up after general meetings/events
- Show off your garden at our ‘summer garden tour’ event
- Find local gardeners to join or show their gardens
- Take photos at events or local gardens
- Lend your skill with graphic design
- Assist with audio visual setup for meetings
- Help organize or donate door prizes
- Donate seeds/plants for fundraising events
- Help organize workshops
- Be a guest speaker or help find guest speakers
- Be a team lead on a special event
- Help out at a Summer Garden party or Fall Plant/Bake Sale
- Research articles for newsletter
- Help with community projects
- Join the Butterfly garden maintenance team
