We had a fabulous time at our Christmas Luncheon at the Sunshine Coast Gulf Course. We enjoyed great food, good company, door prizes and some fun music. Hope everyone had a wonderful time and left with full tummies and special memories.
CANCELLED | December 5, 2017 | VanDusen Botanical Gardens | Festival of Lights tour
This event was cancelled as we did not reach the minimum amount needed.
We must book and pay a deposit for the bus costs to reserve this special tour, so confirm and pay for your seat at our General Meeting Monday, October 30th. If more members attend, costs will go down! Bus holds up to 48 people. Tickets are $32 for Garden Club members and $37 for non members. Sechelt Garden Club is subsidizing some of the cost. This cost is based on a group of 30 and does not include ferry costs and meals.
Ferry will depart at 2:45pm from Langdale and return on the 9:45pm ferry later that evening. A bus will pick us up at Horseshoe Bay terminal and drive us back after the Tour. Garden gates open at 4:30pm so this gives us 4 hours in the gardens, with time to have a meal (or bring your own) and visit the gift shop.

Sechelt Garden Club 50th Anniversary Celebration
Seaside Centre – Sechelt | 11:00am – 2:00pm
Our 50th Anniversary celebration was a HUGE success! Thank-you to all who participated in organizing; set-up, take down, flower arrangements, food (so much food!), seed planting and care, decorating and most of all, those that visited and shared this very special time.

What a memorable year 2017 is for all of us in Canada and for our Sechelt community!
It is the 50th anniversary of the Sechelt Garden Club, and an open house has been organized for Saturday, June 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Seaside Centre. A sourwood tree, renowned for its colourful blossom and foliage, has already been planted in the grounds of the Seaside Centre where a plaque has been inscribed to commemorate this auspicious occasion, and one which coincides with Canada’s birthday 150 years before.

Bring a plant or two from your garden, label the pot with the name of the plant, color of bloom (if applicable) and sun or shade. Be sure to include your name so you can take home plant if it does not sell.
Visitors are WELCOME! Bring friends, family and neighbours to take advantage of our mini plant sale. The Share Table will also be available for your garden treasures that you would like someone else to enjoy.
PS: Our Plant Sale was a huge success! Thank-you to all who attended, brought plants, brought friends and family and most of all, thank-you to everyone who purchased plants, share items and who made a donation. We appreciate all the support and enthusiasm.
